Extract from the official war diary of 10th Bn, 22nd (Cheshire) Regiment

PLOEGSTEERT

Pte. Morton, “D” Coy. wounded while in a listening post. Relieved by 3/WORCESTERSHIRE REGT. and marched to Divisional Reserve at PAPOT FARM CAMP. A very clear bright day entailing some danger in leaving the trenches. A few shells fell near but no casualties occurred.
